SeedCo SC 637 is a medium- to late-maturing hybrid maize variety bred for high performance, adaptability, and grain quality. It typically matures in 130–140 days and produces large, well-filled cobs with flint-to-semi-flint grains, ideal for both grain and mealie meal production.
The variety exhibits strong resistance to major maize diseases such as grey leaf spot, northern leaf blight, and common rust, and it maintains excellent standability even under heavy cob load. SC 637 performs best in fertile soils with adequate rainfall but also shows moderate drought tolerance, ensuring reliable yields in seasons with uneven rainfall distribution.
