SeedCo SC 647 is a medium- to late-maturing hybrid maize variety developed for high-yield performance and adaptability in medium to high rainfall zones. It matures in about 135–145 days, producing large, uniform cobs with deep, flint-to-semi-flint grains preferred for milling and storage.
This hybrid exhibits excellent disease resistance, particularly against grey leaf spot, northern leaf blight, and common rust, and maintains strong stalks and roots, giving it outstanding lodging resistance. SC 647 performs best under fertile soils and good agronomic management, but it also tolerates short dry spells due to its robust growth characteristics.
